I feel gratitude, immense thankfulness, and a deep contentment deep within me as I gaze at the sea and the hotel pool. I think to myself that everyone else feels this way, or at least something similar. It’s nice to live in a contented family. Only the escalating politics and the warmongering of political lackeys thwart this positive and happy attitude to life. A few greedy and contented people want death and destruction instead of life and happiness, in order to enrich themselves even more. I would rather live with less material possessions, but more contentedly, with love and security, as a person with respect for others. Greed, envy, and hatred should have no place in life. I would never have thought in my life that peace could no longer be desirable and worth preserving, that war would be sought and propagated as a right, as indispensable for humanity.

Does this mean nothing other than that the majority of people aren’t learning anything? Or is it rather indifference, as long as there are no serious changes for the individual, as long as the person is not directly threatened with reprisals or even death? I worry about the future of our children and grandchildren! Peace is essential so that they too can have a contented and worthwhile life; we should all strive for it.
